When working with data, the goal isn’t just to analyze—it’s to create clarity, spark curiosity, and drive better decisions. This Airbnb dashboard is a great example of how I approach data storytelling with the end user in mind, whether that’s a business stakeholder, investor, or internal strategy team.
Built in Tableau, the dashboard is fully interactive—users can explore pricing trends, seasonal patterns, and Superhost metrics by hovering, filtering, and toggling between views. It’s designed to not only inform at a glance but also invite deeper exploration when needed.
💼 Why This Project Matters to Stakeholders
For hosts, platform managers, and city-level strategists, understanding Airbnb performance at scale is key to:
- Identifying Pricing Trends: The dashboard highlights how prices vary by room type, offering a snapshot of revenue opportunities.
- Optimizing for Seasonality: The Airbnb Seasonality section helps users plan around peak travel months to boost bookings or adjust strategy.
- Spotlighting Market Hotspots: The Review Density map pinpoints where guest interest is highest across San Francisco.
- Evaluating Guest Experience: With data on review scores, Superhost ratios, and listing types, stakeholders can make informed decisions around quality control and platform standards.
- Tracking Long-Term Trends: The COVID-19 impact graph offers insight into market resilience, recovery, and broader behavioral shifts over time.
